It all began in a garden,
where stories bloomed in secret.

Katice ramirez

Katice is a multi-faceted artisan, writer, and storyteller whose work draws from a life threaded with resilience, imagination, and deep transformation.

As the founder of The Pearled Rose, she creates handcrafted flower crowns, hair accessories, and emotionally rich collections for customers around the world. Each piece echoing a reclaimed identity or a whispered story that refuses to be silenced.

Residing in the Smoky Mountains with her husband and three daughters, Katice finds magic in the everyday, whether that’s braiding dainty flowers into symbols, or writing at midnight under the hum of memories and moonlight. She is currently working on her first novel.

With a gift for turning pain into beauty and silence into voice, Katice’s creations have captured the hearts of brides, mothers, and kindreds alike—those who know that every rose has its thorn…
and every thorn, a story.

early life

Katice was born under dreamy June California skies, and grew up switching off between Danville, California and Knoxville, Tennessee. Partially raised by her grandmother with a garden laced with roses and secrets, she found magic in books, nature, and dreams. Long before she ever escaped parental child abuse and the troubled teen industry, she was already learning how to survive; dreaming, by writing, and by believing in beauty even in the dark.

education

Katice never walked across a college graduation stage. She ran down an entirely different path instead. Emancipated, early high school graduate, married, and a mother all at 17. She off and on studied forensic psychology and later business, life always called louder. While others earned degrees, she was earning survival and becoming the mother, artist, and storyteller no syllabus could prepare her for.

career

Katice built her career not by climbing a corporate ladder, but by burning down cages and planting something beautiful in their place. She grew a brand at age 21 as a young mom, The Pearled Rose, that blends handcrafted artistry with memory creation, advocacy, and storytelling. Her flower crowns have graced brides, festivals, and top rated theme parks. Her blog, The Rose’s Thorn, is a haven for those who’ve known darkness and dared to bloom anyway. A mother, artisan, and advocate, Katice channels every chapter of her life into something tangible, whether it’s a crown woven with purpose or a story stitched with truth.
She didn’t follow a résumé. She followed her fire.

rise to acclaim

Katice carved her own path. What began as a deeply personal act of healing turned into an artistic movement that now touches thousands around the world. Her handcrafted flower crowns have been featured at top rated Theme Park, worn by beloved creators like Mama Tot, and wrote for editorial features in Bella Grace Magazine. Through her brand, The Pearled Rose, she created not just beauty but storytelling with thorns and truth. In 2019, Katice was selected as a Meta Business Leader and traveled to Capitol Hill in 2025 to share her small business journey and speak on the intersection of Meta, AI, creativity, and trauma-informed entrepreneurship. There, she fearlessly wove her personal story including her advocacy against child abuse and the troubled teen industry into a message of hope, resilience, and change.

inspirations

Katice often credits her greatest inspiration to her grandmother, whose backyard felt more like a secret world than a patch of earth. It was there among the roses and books that she first believed in magic, in healing, and in the quiet power of beauty. Stories like The Secret Garden lit the match, but it was her own daughters, curious, wild-hearted, and full of wonder, who fanned the flame. Butterflies, both real and symbolic, often flutter through her work, reminding her that transformation is painful, but always possible

"The fear of being seen is rooted in the lie that you can get it “wrong” that is rooted in the lie of needing to be perfect before you’re allowed to express. Yet the sage within knows that right and wrong are constructs of the limited mind. The sage within fears no outside voice and seeks no external validation.

The sage within knows that anyone who sits in judgement of your expression is sitting in judgment of themselves.

Let the power of your voice be heard before you feel ready. Ready is an illusion. Make way for the divine to express through your vessel and do it imperfectly. Over and over. This is why you come, to remember god through allowing yourself to be human.”
- Emma Zeck

"My dear, some people (yes, even if they bear the name family) will do nothing but try to ruin you, and you deserve to take back with fire and blood what's rightfully yours. Or else they will keep destroying the garden of your heart that you painstakingly grew, eating your own rage should not be yet another one of your daily chores. Let no one tell you that can only be kind and courage is not angry nor shrewd that can only be silently gentle and have no right to stand up for themselves and roar."
-Nikita Gill

"The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all."
-The Emperor of China, Mulan

"Remember what you must do when they undervalue you, when they think your softness is your weakness, when they treat your kindness like it is their advantage. You awaken every dragon, every wolf, every monster that sleeps inside you and you remind them what hell looks like when it wears the skin of a gentle human."
-Nikita Gill

"A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for."
